When the Linton Village School closed down the Hall was made over to become a Village Hall for Linton and the neighbourhood in a conveyance of 18 January 1961. It is run as a Charity and the Charitable purpose is defined as being "for the use of the inhabitants of Linton and the neighbourhood (hereinafter called the "areas of benefit") without distinction of sex or political religious or other opinions and in particular for use for meetings lectures and classes and for other forms of recreational and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants."

The Committee would be pleased to consider anyone wishing to become a Trustee. In the first place an applicant is advised to contact one of the officers.
